08/22/16: Nick and Justine present posters at the National ACS Meeting in Philadelphia.

07/11/16: The White Group welcomes Dr. Robert Lazenby to the group. Dr. Lazenby earned his PhD from the University of Warwick working with Profs. Patrick Unwin and Julie MacPherson developing intermittent-contact SECM. See our group member page for more details.

07/01/16: Ryan is promoted to Associate Professor with tenure!

05/23/16: Florika is awarded the ACS Divisions of Analytical Chemistry Fellowship!

05/18/16: Lauren and Florika graduate with their PhDs in Analytical Chemistry!!!!

05/18/16: Brenda Gutierrez graduates from UMBC with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and will be attending UC Irvine for medical school. Congrats!

02/05/16: Florika’s manuscript describing the development of bio-SICM is accepted for publication in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.

01/20/16: Florika is invited to speak at Pittcon in the SEAC – Highlighting Young Investigators Session this March in Atlanta.

2015

12/01/15: The White Group is awarded a $1.2 million dollar grant to develop electrochemical sensors for continuous monitoring of therapeutics from the NIH.

11/16/15: Congratulations to Lauren on successfully defending her PhD dissertation. She becomes the first PhD to graduate from the White Group!!!!

07/08/15: The White Group welcome several summer interns! Ally and Mikhali, from Catonsville High School, and Kaitlin, Jael, and Daniel from the STEM Build Program are all working in the lab this summer.

07/07/15: Ryan named the 2016 SEAC Royce W. Murray Young Investigator to be received at Pittcon 2016.

05/25/15: Lauren and Ethan’s paper “Heterogeneous Electrochemical Aptamer-Based Sensor Surfaces for Controlled Sensor Response” is accepted for publication in Langmuir
